My work focusses on improving relationship dynamics, satisfaction and progression for women in the workplace, and I show how an understanding of our evolved predispositions can provide effective strategies for women to excel, and to find the work-life balance that suits them. Effective ways of working need to consider our evolved motivations and emotions, as well as the culture we are embedded in. I deliver a variety of bespoke presentations, workshops, and one-to-one consultations to this end for leaders and for teams.
I also work with leaders to demonstrate the ways in which women differ on average from men, both in their approach to working relationships, and in their work ambitions and aspirations. We can then look at ways leaders can help female team members optimise their productivity, make the most of their assets, and achieve satisfaction and progression at work.
Mairi has delivered two excellent presentations on the biology of women’s health, wellbeing and competition at work for the Lloyds Women’s Network, Breakthrough. Both of these have had very positive and enthusiastic feedback from participants, with many keen to point out how relevant the discussions were to their own situations and working relationships.
Mairi was well-prepared, engaging and set a relaxed tone so participants felt they could share their experiences. She’s a fantastic speaker, full of expertise and brilliant insight about why people behave the way they do, and delivers uniquely useful advice for working women, and we’re keen to work with her again very soon..”
